Howard P. Carter Career Center was a high school located in the Fifth Ward of
Houston, Texas, United States. The school served grades 6 through 12 and was a part of the Houston Independent School District. The high school functioned as a vocational school and a school for pregnant girls to attend. Carter Career Center had many students who were single parents. It had a day care center that was
supported by corporations, the state, the federal government, and foundations.
